Who We Are
Karajgaon Parisar Vikas Sanghatana
Karajgaon Parisar Vikas Sanghatna is a non-profit organization that has been registered under the Mumbai Public Trust Act on 12/09/1986 and the Societies Registration Act on 08/06/1986. Since its establishment, the organization has been actively involved in various social initiatives aimed at improving the lives of rural communities and achieved significant milestones in rural development and education.
In 2009, the organization initiated the Late Shri Eknath Namdeo Gatkal English Medium School in the rural village of Taklibhan in Shrirampur Taluka, offering quality education to children from farming and low-income backgrounds to build a brighter future. Currently, the school educates students from the 1st to 8th grades, and in 2021, the Maharashtra State Government granted the school a Letter of Intent to expand its curriculum to include classes from the 9th to 12th grade in all streams. The organization received final permission on 28/03/2023 for the same from the Maharashtra State Government and the classes would commence from the 2023-24 academic year.
The organization’s efforts have primarily focused on empowering farmers and landless poor individuals to gain access to financial resources. Through strategic partnerships with banks and financial institutes, Karajgaon Parisar Vikas Sanghatna has facilitated the provision of loans to these groups of individuals, creating opportunities for them to build sustainable livelihoods.
Our organization has also been instrumental in leading strikes, agitations, and campaigns, advocating for critical rural issues, including clean water, healthcare, and education. In recognition of the importance of women’s empowerment, Karajgaon Parisar Vikas Sanghatna has initiated several programs and awareness campaigns focused on gender equality and female education. Karajgaon Parisar Vikas Sanghatna’s initiatives in rural development and education for underprivileged children are commendable. We are proud to say that our efforts have positively impacted the lives of many people in the rural communities we serve.
