Rural Development
In a world where urbanization is rapidly advancing, rural areas often remain neglected and overlooked. But as responsible citizens, we have taken it upon ourselves to bring about positive change in these remote villages. Our aim is to provide basic necessities such as clean water channels, well-maintained drainage systems, and access to quality healthcare by building more well-equipped hospitals and clinics.
Our efforts do not stop there. We have established schools, education institutions. We have also facilitated access to loans from Nationalised Banks and NBFCs for farmers and landless individuals to invest in their agricultural activities and improve their livelihoods. Our team has also led strikes, agitations, and campaigns to address vital rural issues such as clean water and sustainable farming practices. Furthermore, we believe in promoting gender equality and have actively been promoting women’s empowerment through various functions and events.
Education
Education must be universally accessible irrespective of an individual’s religion, caste, creed, colour, disability, and financial status. No one in this entire world has the right to destroy someone’s desire to learn because we all are intertwined with each other’s barriers and possibilities. Our individuality and possessions are meaningless without mother nature. With our purest intentions, we have been running a primary school in a rural area since 2009 and giving education to unprivileged students who are from poor farmer families and are not able to pay education fees for their economically weaker backgrounds. We’ve been successful in sending numerous children to attend school and making opportunities for a better and prosperous future they’ll hold with their hard work and persistence.
So far, we’ve seen the potential of each child, their uniqueness, and the inquisition to learn more. As their well-wishers, we want to be a little greedy about their education, we wish to see them shine in their own ways and change the world as they behold its beauty.
- Late Shri Eknath Namdeo Gatkal English Medium School and Junior College
The oppressed rural sections of our country are persistently helped by KPVS to get access to a affordable education, initiated with the hope of improving their way of living. The execution of this project has reached uncountable needy families and encouraged them to fulfil their long-lost dreams.
Late Shri Eknath Namdev Gatkal English Medium School and Junior College was initiated in the year 2009 in Ahmednagar and upgraded to secondary and higher secondary in the year 2023 in Ahmednagar to spread the power of knowledge among poor children who aspire to learn and accomplish their future goals. The medium of teaching is solely in English. However, to facilitate the expansion of the school, Karajgaon Parisar Vikas Sanghatana is in dire need of critical infrastructure, including a building, computer lab, and science and maths lab to start classes from the 9th to 12th grade. Our organization also has planned to offer technical education to students to enhance their employability and financial independence. Through these initiatives, we honestly aim to change the mentality and make education affordable and accessible. We want to thank all the teachers who came forward to help these shining stars and guide them on a way out of their darkness.
- Construction of School and hostel building
Since Govt of Maharashtra issued Final Permission on 28/03/2023 to our organization for starting classes from Std. 9 To Std 12 of all Streams, we need to construct the building of the school and hostel. But our organization is currently facing a significant challenge with our school building, as we have insufficient land to accommodate the growing number of students. As a result, we have decided to purchase a 5-acre land to construct a new school building that will accommodate students from nursery to 12th standard. The new school building will offer a comprehensive curriculum, with highly qualified teaching staff.
However, to make this project a success, we need to undertake other essential aspects, such as the construction of a free hostel for underprivileged students, procurement of necessary furniture, school bus, and other critical resources.
The proposed school also requires infrastructure such as a building, computer lab, and science and math lab to start classes from the 9th to the 12th grade. Our organization plans to provide technical education to students, which will help them to enhance their independence and contribute to the development of their communities. The estimated cost for these projects is approximately 8 to 10 crore rupees, and we humbly request your support in making this initiative a reality.
From the registration of our trust in 1986 till today, we never ask for donations according to the registration act of this organization, but the area of work in this project is going to be enormous and so we are pleading to have your generosity. We would be deeply grateful for any support you could provide. Your generosity would make a tremendous difference in helping us achieve our goals and positively impact the lives of those we serve.
Women’s Empowerment
“Each time a woman stands up for herself, she stands up for all women.” –Maya Angelou
Women are shining examples of elegance and strength in today’s world. There is no profession that women are incapable of excelling in. Whether it’s taking care of their loved ones or managing their financial responsibilities, women require no validation or assurance when it comes to their aspirations and dreams.
With this in mind, our organization Karajgaon Parisar Vikas Sanghatana is dedicated to empowering women by providing them with education and guidance toward achieving success. For far too long, women have had to sacrifice their true selves and desires for the sake of others, but it’s time for them to fulfil their dreams and aspirations. We are committed to supporting women in shining from within and unlocking their full potential.
Skill Development Training
In the current situation, it is crucial that we prioritize the creation of job opportunities for the unprivileged and unemployed sections of society. The lack of income source in families can unintentionally affect the lives of their children. We feel that we bear some responsibility for this, as we have neglected and marginalized them for far too long. Gender equality is an important consideration for us, as we believe it is essential to enable both men and women to become self-sufficient. To achieve this, we at Karajgaon Parisar Vikas Sanghatana provide free training in various skills such as sewing, embroidery, weaving, zardozi leaf work, candle making, soap making, and incense stick making, and help them establish small-scale industries to become self-employed. We also offer free technical training in printing, book composition, photography, and computer skills to assist young people and women in finding self-employment opportunities.
Over the years, we have sent artisans to popular fairs where they can sell their products and earn a living. Additionally, we send their work to various retailers to help them find a wider market for their products.
Health Camp
Good health is essential for living a happy and fulfilling life. However, many people in our country, especially those living in remote villages, do not have access to adequate medical care. Ignorance and poverty lead them to neglect their health, which can often result in serious illnesses. It is our duty as responsible citizens to help these people and provide them with the medical care they deserve. Karajgaon Parisar Vikas Sanghatana has taken the initiative to organize free health camps for these underprivileged sections to raise awareness among them about their health issues and the fatal consequences of ignoring them and also offer free medical checkups, medicine, and other necessary expenses to those who cannot afford it. We also invite renowned doctors from reputed hospitals to participate in our health campaigns. In addition, we provide food supplies to remote villages to encourage their participation in these camps. In cases of emergency, we take complete responsibility for the patient including medicines and other expenses.
We feel that this initiative is essential to recognize the importance of good health and take the necessary steps to maintain it and through these initiatives, we strive to make healthcare accessible to everyone, regardless of their economic background. We are proud to say that our efforts have helped many villagers to receive proper medical attention, and we will continue to work towards this noble cause.
Blood Donation Camp
We believe that the gift of blood is a gift to someone’s life. Karajgaon Parisar Vikas Sanghatana, understanding the importance of blood donation, organizes blood donation camps to spread awareness and encourage individuals to donate blood. Blood donation is a critical aspect of medical care as it saves countless lives each year. With an increasing population, the need for blood donors has risen significantly, and many people with chronic illnesses or injuries require blood transfusions to survive. Unfortunately, the scarcity of safe and healthy blood has become a significant issue in emergencies. And here our organization comes into action. Our members also ensure that all protocols are followed to collect safe blood and then it is sent to government hospitals where the blood supply is scarce. Through our blood donation camps, we aim to create awareness about the importance of donating blood and how it can save lives in times of emergency. Join us in our endeavor to make a difference and contribute to this noble cause.
